Before Pear Tree Estate was even a dream, there was a kitchen of hard working individuals mastering their recipes.

A craving for soft pretzels would lead the whole team down the path to perfecting the best soft pretzel recipe.  A trip out of town may lead to the best combination of real ingredients on a warm panini.  A hand written recipe on the back of an old cookbook evolves into the richest roulade. Inquiring minds wondering if anything can make smoked pork even better translates into perfecting bacon wrapped smoked pork tenderloin.  We made a habit of writing menus that challenged our skillset and broadened our cooking portfolio.  You can serve your guests a meal or you can serve your guests an unforgettable experience that will leave them craving another invitation.  

We serve family style because as little girls our family loved to gather around the table.  We were adults before we learned that not all families planned their next meal as they enjoyed the one before them.  Our Mom will tell you that we were far too young when we became opinionated regarding what was being served.  We never loved when Pb&J was the dinner selection.  We’ve always loved a really well prepared meal.  Before family gatherings, we would call our Grandmas to request our favorites. One of our favorite moments of an event is when the whole room pauses and people simply enjoy “breaking the bread” with those at their table.  

Stations are the perfect way to highlight your favorite foods without the worry of composing a perfectly balanced dinner. Whether you love comfort foods, cheese and charcuterie or you are dying to serve street tacos at your event, let your favorites be your guide to the perfect party menu. If you have been to an LA Gourmet or Pear Tree Estate event, you know that we don’t believe there can ever be too much of a good thing, such as food.  We love to serve food throughout the entire event.  The late night snack is such a fun way for you as the host to incorporate your favorite personal touch to an event.  The late night snack is like the wedding nod to your best friends on the dance floor, “yeah, I got you buddy.” 

Never have we ever seen a guest turn down late night nachos and sliders.

The desserts that come out of the L.A. kitchen will leave you dreaming of them until you can try them again. Our recipes include some of our family favorites and we hope that they become your family favorites, too. There is a difference between a good cocktail and a great cocktail. When a good cocktail is served, one person enjoys it. When a great cocktail is served, the whole room begins to order that perfect cocktail. Great cocktails are almost contagious. That’s how you know that you’re making a cocktail with the right ingredients and the perfect amount of love.
